A sense of sustainability

A complete overview of the sustainable practices and principles that are used in the construction of your villa can be explored in the “Owner Resources” section

100% SOLAR POWERED

Each villa is equipped with a roof top solar array that is able to provide 100% of the electricity needed. These solar panels and their associated battery grid provide full power to all villas for up to 5 days without sun. The compound is entirely self sufficient and doesn’t rely on the public power grid. This substantially reduces owners costs and carbon footprint and results in less public infrastructure exposure risk.

DARK SKY APPROVED LIGHTING

Grand Turk is home to several types of nesting sea turtles. We’ve gone to great lengths to choose lighting solutions that will not disrupt this wonderful natural habitat. All fixtures are dark sky approved and we’ve used amber / red lighting at night where appropriate as well as LED energy efficient bulbs.

COPPER ION POOL FILTERS

Copper ionization provides clean, clear, and neutral pH pool environments while avoiding the use of harsh chemicals like chlorine.

ENERGY-STAR APPLIANCES

All appliances are energy efficient and top rated for performance.

FAIR TRADE & FSC - CERTIFIED FURNITURE

Furniture packages provided by Williams - Sonoma are FSC - Certified and sustainably sourced to protect the future of our planet, people and resources.

HEALTHY MATERIAL CHOICES

Standard construction materials often present health hazards. We’ve meticulously chosen building materials that promote healthy environments and limit harsh chemicals.

WILDLIFE CONSERVATION

The Luna team and community supports local marine conservation efforts to protect our incredible ocean resources now and forever. Events and specific causes will be announced and owners and guests will be given the opportunity to participate.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

In addition to marine conservation, the Luna team supports other unique causes on the island of Grand Turk including youth sports and recreation programs. These efforts will include monetary support and local volunteer options open for owner and guest participation.
